About Bear Bookshop

Bear Bookshop is a children's bookshop, founded by Jenny, a mother of 3 young children, and a teacher of 15 years.  Her dream was to build a bookshop that supports your child's development and well-being and helps them to develop a life-long love of reading. 

Bear Bookshop quickly became an integral part of the Bearwood community, providing a much needed alternative to the impersonal, online shopping experience people had become used to during the pandemic.  Jenny has always strived to ensure the shop is accessible to all and serves the needs of local people.  

Bear Bookshop is a safe, creative, calm space in the heart of Bearwood.   Everyone is welcome and there is ALWAYS something interesting to do.
